PVP MEDIA is thrilled to announce the release of Woolly Woolly, a heartwarming and hilarious animated preschool series based on the beloved Mochimochi Land brand created by Anna Hrachovec, who also serves as creative consultant for the series.
Premiering April 9, the series airs in British Columbia on Knowledge Network weekdays at 10:15 a.m. It’s also available to stream for free across Canada on KnowledgeKids.ca and the Knowledge Kids app.
“We're thrilled to share Woolly Woolly with families across Canada through our broadcasting partners,” said producer François Trudel from Quebec-based production company PVP MEDIA. “This series is a joyful exploration of creativity and friendship, encouraging children to use their imagination in a fun and meaningful way.”
The series follows the playful adventures of tightly knit gnomes—Willy, Josie, Beebee, Choochoo, and Pirouette—who live in a whimsical forest entirely made of wool. Together, they loop through their cozy yet unpredictable world, stitching up adventures and solving serious mysteries like unraveling incidents in Woollywood to harvesting sparkling wool from a very unique sheep, the Woollys face each challenge with courage, creativity, and their knack for knitting whatever they need.
These delightful tales are brought to life by Lila and Marco, two imaginative kids in their playroom who spin everyday emotions and situations into playful adventures for their toy woolly gnomes.
“We’re delighted to bring this unique new series to our viewers,” said Michele Paris, Senior Manager of Knowledge Kids. “Kids will be inspired by how Marco and Lila’s imaginative play and creative storytelling lead to all kinds of wildly entertaining adventures with these adorable, quirky characters.”
The series was made in collaboration with director Emmanuel Linderer and the Paris-based studio Normaal which brought the cutting-edge stop-motion-inspired 3D animation style to life.
