2005
This series is much more than a mere travel journal. It looks into the social phenomenon of expeditions and gives an insight into the thought process of modern explorers. Specialist research journalist Karina Marceau (former presenter of J.E., TVA) conducts the interviews. An accomplished traveller herself, she easily fits into the world of fellow explorers and tries to find the motivation for their quest. She takes a critical yet objective view of their thirst for adventure. In each episode she also meets a specialist (anthropologist, historian, sociologist, or adventure trip expert) which helps to broaden our understanding of the phenomenon by uncovering a new perspective. The series, produced by Groupe PVP, is a superb mix of events, adventures and reflection.
