In this documentary, director Éli Laliberté explores the Nitassinan, a vast territory inhabited by the Innu north of Sept-Îles, on the border of Quebec and Labrador. With his camera, Éli follows Clément and Tekuanan on their journeys: one venturing as a modern-day coureur de bois into the wild and the other returning to Nutshimit, his ancestral homeland. The film draws a parallel between the adventures of these two men with unique backgrounds and experiences as they answer the call of the wild to live as one with nature, exploring both the vast outdoors and their own internal landscape. This documentary explores two unique voyages into the wilderness, shedding light on the profound connection between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and the land they share.
