La longue remontée (The Long Road to Recovery) promises to be an emotional journey packed with profound reflections on life. It follows four individuals who are learning to adapt after their lives have been turned completely upside-down following a serious accident. Dealing with the after-effects, learning to walk or talk again, coming to terms with a body that no longer looks or responds as it once did, accepting help from others, learning to use a wheelchair, being unable to work for a while or on a permanent basis, finding out who their true friends are; there are all sorts of new challenges to face.
