Going through a breakup is never easy, especially when it wasn't your choice. The documentary Elle m’a quitté explores this reality through the eyes of men who suffer after a breakup and questions the taboos surrounding their distress. How can we support them through this ordeal? How can we identify early warning signs that sometimes lead to violence (suicide, harassment, femicide) and encourage these men to seek help?

Journalist Karina Marceau and Stéphane Crête, who, alongside his acting career, focuses on grief and works with men's groups, embark on a quest to better understand men's pain, their resilience, and the issues surrounding separation.

Elle m’a quitté is an invitation to rethink breakups from a different perspective and to open a necessary dialogue about male suffering and potential solutions to prevent everyone from suffering.
